December

December was packed with fun and travel.  Here are a lot of pictures!

The girls tried to catch snowflakes during a flurry in early December.
They were excited to decorate the tree!

We had a blast at the Boston Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker.

Harper's preschool performance included nice holiday songs and a surprise visit from Santa.

Gingerbread house!

The girls loved opening this giant gift - a digital piano!

We spent Christmas morning at home and then it was off to Ohio to celebrate with family.

Making cake pops and goofing around with Papa and the Becker cousins.

With Grandma Gerber and Aunt Joanie

We returned home to enough snow for sledding!  It was a first for the girls.

We closed out the year with some good friends.  Happy New Year!!

November

We don't have nearly enough pictures of November!  It was a busy month, with Ben being out of town for more than 2 weeks and Meme coming to visit.  The girls had a blast with Meme and unfortunately we don't have any pictures to show for it!  I need to be better about getting out the camera.
Here is Ida Jane posing with her soccer trophy.  She really enjoyed soccer and asked if she could join a winter and spring league.

Harper's class did a little Thanksgiving performance.  Daddy had the day off and so did Ida and I so we were all able to attend.  It was really cute and Harper enjoyed the spotlight!

We spent a quiet Thanksgiving at home.  Ben cooked a truly delicious meal.  It was quite impressive as it was his first turkey!

The wishbone pull was declared a tie!

October

October has been lots of fun!  We started the month with a trip to the King Richard's Faire.  The girls enjoyed the day very much!  In this picture they are slightly startled by the giant unicorn behind them.

Friends Jade and Jasmine came along for the fun!

Uncle Jeff came for a visit.  He helped us carve pumpkins!

Here is Ida Jane goofing off for the camera.

The girls dressed Duncan up for Halloween.  He is one of Santa's reindeer.

We had lots of rain and wind during Hurricane Sandy, but never lost power and only had one large tree branch come down in our yard.  The girls stayed in their pajamas all day.

Ida Jane and Harper have been talking about Halloween since we moved back to the U.S.  They didn't get to trick-or-treat in Singapore so you can imagine the excitement when the day finally arrived!

Here they are ready for school.

Ida Jane had a costume parade at school and then pumpkin decorating.

Ready to trick-or-treat!

The governor lives in the neighborhood and was answering the door for trick-or-treaters.  Ida Jane looks a little star struck here with Governor Patrick!

I love this video of the girls running to Ben after getting some loot.
