October

October has been lots of fun!  We started the month with a trip to the King Richard's Faire.  The girls enjoyed the day very much!  In this picture they are slightly startled by the giant unicorn behind them.

 

Friends Jade and Jasmine came along for the fun!

 

Uncle Jeff came for a visit.  He helped us carve pumpkins!

The girls dressed Duncan up for Halloween.  He is one of Santa's reindeer.

We had lots of rain and wind during Hurricane Sandy, but never lost power and only had one large tree branch come down in our yard.  The girls stayed in their pajamas all day.

Ida Jane and Harper have been talking about Halloween since we moved back to the U.S.  They didn't get to trick-or-treat in Singapore so you can imagine the excitement when the day finally arrived!

The governor lives in the neighborhood and was answering the door for trick-or-treaters.  Ida Jane looks a little star struck here with Governor Patrick!

September

September was a whirlwind with Ida Jane's birthday, the beginning of school, the start of soccer, swimming and ballet, plus a visit from Nana and Papa.  

The first day of school was exciting for the girls.  They loved every minute of it and have been enjoying the new routine.

  

 Ida Jane started soccer.  She likes being a member of the Orange Monsters!

 Harper has been asking to take ballet since she turned 2.  It was a long 2 1/2 year wait!

Ida Jane had her birthday party at Boston Bowl.  The kids had a blast!

Summer fun

 We got a puppy!  His name is Duncan and he has been great.  He is very mellow and gets along well with the humans and other animals in the house.

 

Liverpool played at Fenway Park and we all enjoyed the match.

Uncle Jeff came for a quick visit.  The girls love playing hide and seek with him.

We went to the Marshfield Fair and the girls had a blast!

It really tired them out!

July

We've had a very busy summer!  It is hard to believe we are well into August already and soon it will be time for the girls to go back to school.  At the beginning of July, we took a trip to Ohio and Indiana to visit Ben's family.  Everyone had a great time!

We had a fun time at the Toledo zoo.

Ben's cousin Anne got married.  It was a beautiful wedding and the girls had a blast!
