Today, mom and dad carved Ida Jane's first Jack O'Lanterns. Here's a nice picture of all three pumpkins. Her pumpkin outfit is courtesy of her great uncle and aunt Gordy and Kathy.
And here's a nice picture of Ida Jane trying on an outfit from Baba and Meme.
Have a happy halloween, everyone!

Ida Jane is home at last
Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting, Ida Jane is indeed home at last. Here's a picture of her resting in Mom's arms to prove it!
And here's a movie of her modelling an outfit from her Grandma, with booties from her aunt Sarah.
I've put the movie in a smaller size so that it takes less time to download it. If you have a good connection, you can click on the movie itself and it will take you to the full-sized version at youtube.

Ida Jane comes home tomorrow!
Ida Jane has been given the all clear to join mom and dad at home tomorrow! We'll be going in for her 9 AM feeding, and hopefully we can get out the door in the morning.
She passed her "car seat test" with flying colors. She needed to be able to get strapped into her seat safely and have no breathing problems. And that's just what she did, preferring to stay asleep while dad and mom kept a watch.
Ida Jane is feeling great, and has been taking all of her feedings very well over the week, so the doctors are happy to send her home. Here's a picture from her last night in the NICU, keeping an eye on her Mom.
Now, it's time for Mom and Dad to get one last night of sleep. :)

Ida Jane doing great
Ida Jane is still on track for coming home this week. Mom and Dad are predicting a Friday arrival, but she may surprise us and decide to come home earlier than that. She continues to eat voraciously, and grows around an ounce a day, making her a relatively hefty four pounds six ounces.
Here's a picture of her, expressing a desire to...well...who knows?
And here's a movie of her goofing around in her crib as we wait for the nurse.

Coming home this week!
Ida Jane's doctor has told Amy and I that Ida Jane will be coming home this week! She will be getting all 8 feedings by bottle starting tomorrow, and depending on how well she does she will "graduate" and come home to live with Mom and Dad.
Obviously, we're both thrilled.
Her personality is really starting to shine through as well, as you can see in this "modeling" photo we took of a new outfit from Baba and Meme.
