Riding and dancing

Ida Jane has been riding her bike without training wheels for a few weeks now. Here she is on the day she figured it all out.



And here's a video of our little ballerina performing in May. She worked really hard and we were very proud of her!

Spring so far

We've been very busy this Spring.  Ida Jane is busy with soccer and cooking.  Harper loves her ballet classes.  Both girls have started playing Gaelic football as well. 

March began with yet another snowstorm.  I am glad we have left those days behind for a bit.

St. Patrick's Day fun!

The girls enjoyed the neighborhood egg hunt again this year and were pleased with their Easter baskets.

The month ended with a fun birthday party for Harper.  The kids played around for awhile at a splash park and then had some cake.  She is now 5!

Wacky Wednesday at preschool!

We enjoyed our first Red Sox game of the year.

The dairy freeze is now open for business!

Ida Jane was proud to show off her work at the school art show.  Hers is the one with the black background, just above her head.

Harper has worked hard at ballet all year and was so excited for her recital!

 We will post a video of the recital later along with one of Ida Jane riding her bike with no training wheels!

Winter

We have been enjoying winter but are happy that March is here with the promise of warmer weather.  

Ida Jane lost her first tooth at the beginning of the year.

Both girls have been enjoying their piano lessons from dad.  Here is Ida Jane practicing.

Harper loves the pets and they love her!

Face paint and dress up!

 Harper showed her class her beautiful Chinese New Year dress.

 

We had just given up hope of getting any substantial snow when the big blizzard hit.  The girls loved it.

December

December was packed with fun and travel.  Here are a lot of pictures!

 

 The girls tried to catch snowflakes during a flurry in early December.

They were excited to decorate the tree!  

We had a blast at the Boston Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker.

Harper's preschool performance included nice holiday songs and a surprise visit from Santa.

The girls loved opening this giant gift - a digital piano!

We spent Christmas morning at home and then it was off to Ohio to celebrate with family.

We returned home to enough snow for sledding!  It was a first for the girls.

We closed out the year with some good friends.  Happy New Year!!
