Here's mom and Ida Jane, both looking good!
She's small but very strong. More pictures to come soon!
Everyone had a good time, and the set up was really beautiful. In the background, you can see a cake made from diapers, stuffed animals and booties. Here's mom having a larf while Dad studiously reads a card:
Presents included a hand-made "baby bag", among many other things. Thanks to everyone who came or sent a gift, and thanks in particular to Veronique and Howard for hosting the event.
Papa Bean repainted the nursery. Here's what we were working with before (and don't miss the door hanger, thanks Veronique!)
We've got a nice Orca to keep Wee Beanie company, hanging next to the bookcase.

Here's Amy at 22 weeks! The Wee Beanie is creating quite a stir in this belly these days, with kicks, punches, and the occasional head butt. Last week, according to the ultrasound, the Wee Beanie weighed in at 12 oz, which means that this week we should be going over a pound.
The Wee Bean continues to kick and definitely is eating well, as you can see in the picture.
Ben was having a little discussion with the Wee Beanie when Amy felt a little butterfly kicking around in her abdomen. Nothing too hard, or too noticeable, but definitely a kick!
So chalk that one up on the "baby firsts" calendar. Hopefully, Ben's voice won't be the source of kicking in later years.
